Photographers, Models, Retouchers, Body Painters, Hair and Makeup Artists, and other Creative People can Communicate with others whom are also serious about their craft.

Jinkers.net doesn't have multiple writers for the site, nor does it have a huge corporate backer or investment group.  Jinkers.net is owned and operated by one individual (Todd).  As a Photographer, I wasn't at all happy with the lack of interest from other online model portfolio sites, so I developed a site that has a lot of ways to interact with other like-minded people in this industy.  I will be pulling from a wide variety of resources in the fashion world, from hair and makeup artists to photographers, as well as retouchers and fashion designers for our articles and how-to's.  We hope to bring you the latest and most up to date news and advice on fashion, photography techniques, and photoshop tricks.  We are hoping to add a Model Manager and Hair and Makeup artist to our writing staff. 

Photography is a trade. Photographers are paid to create, deliver, license or sell photographs. Photography requires training and specialized knowledge like other trades, but doesn't require a license, or even a degree as most professions do.  Photographers work in tangible goods, not knowledge. They are paid ultimately for photos. Their knowledge and imagination are important parts of their photos, but it's the tangible photos, not the ideas, for which they are paid. That's what keeps photography from being a profession.
